TERMS & CONDITIONS

Catering for Large Events

The Company
“Us” and “We” means Arawak Catering & Services
The Customer
“The client” means any person, body of persons, firm or company who enters into a contract with for the provision of services.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS & CONDITIONS
In accepting our services you the client are accepting our terms and conditions.

QUOTATIONS
Quotations are valid for a period of one month from the date of the quotation given. Arawak Catering & Services can not guarantee prices there after due to market prices constantly changing.

DEPOSIT
A 50% non refundable deposit is required upon booking for the upcoming event.
This will be required 14 working days before the event is due to take place.

Payment can be made by Cash, Bankers Draft or BAC’s.

FINAL PAYMENT
The remaining 50% must is to be 7 working days before the event.

Payment can be made by Cash, Bankers Draft or BAC’s.

We are not currently VAT registered so our prices do not include VAT.

CANCELLATIONS
Any cancellations made 14 working days or less before an event will incur a loss of the client’s 50% deposit.

FINAL NUMBERS
Final numbers for the function are to be confirmed 14 working days prior to the client’s event. This must be made by written communication (by email or letter). Should the final numbers decrease within 14 working days then the higher original figure will be charged for.

DELIVERY
Delivery charges will be incurred in accordance with the current rates dependent on size of order and distance traveled.

We will make every effort to deliver by the times requested, but exact times cannot be guaranteed. Customers will be advised of any delay. Advance notice of any parking, unloading or security difficulties shall be made at the time of booking the event.

CATERING
Seasonal menus are liable to change at short notice if particular food items are unavailable at the time of booking. In the event that any food item is not available, a suitable alternative will be made. We will notify you of any changes made.
Food made by Arawak Catering & Services must be consumed within 3 hours and any waste disposed of immediately.
Our products may contain nuts or traces of nuts. Let us know as soon as possible so that we can provide a suitable alternative to allow for allergies if necessary (especially for children).
Arawak Catering & Services believes in providing a professional food service and will do its best to ensure high standards of health, safety and food hygiene. Any complaints will be dealt in accordance with the Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995.

CONDITIONS OF HIRE
All catering equipment such as Crockery, Cutlery, Glasses, Napkins, Linen, Chafing Dishes, etc will be charged separately.

Non disposable items such as crockery, cutlery, platters, bowls, dishes, linen etc, must be available for collection free from food debris.

The client will be liable for any loss or damage to equipment or property provided by the company or its sub contractors. We will pass on any charges at cost price.

Arawak Catering & Services WAITING STAFF
A 50% non refundable deposit is required upon booking for Waiting Staff.
The remaining 50% will be required 14 working days before Waiting Staff are due to work unless other arrangements have been made with us.
The remaining 50% must to be paid 7 days working days before the event.
Payment can be made by Cash, Bankers Draft or BAC’s.
Any cancellations made 14 working days or less before an event will incur a loss of the client’s 50% deposit.
Ambience Waiting Staff work a minimum of 4 hours.
All staff are entitled to have a break if required to work continuously for more than 6 hours. This should be taken during the 6 hours.
Please Note: Clients will be charged extra for staff working on Bank Holidays, Easter and Christmas.
Please note: Travel expenses may be incurred depending on location by the client if the Waiting Staff are working after 11.30pm.

WEDDING FAVOURS AND CHILDREN’S PARTY BAGS/BOXES
A 50% non refundable deposit is required upon ordering Wedding Favours or Children’s Party Bags/Boxes.

The remaining 50% is due 14 working days before the items are needed.
The remaining 50% must to be paid on the day of the event.
Payment can be made by Cash, Bankers Draft or BAC’s.
Any cancellations made 14 working days or less before an event will incur a loss of the client’s 50% deposit.
Orders must be made at least 21days before items are needed.
If items are to be sent to the client by post then orders must be placed 21 days in advance before the items are needed.
Prices for postage and packaging will be invoiced separately.

Once a booking is made, Arawak Catering & Services will send you written confirmation (by e-mail or letter).

CLAIMS
Should you be dissatisfied with any of our services please contact us (written notice) within 7 working days after the event so that we can resolve any problems. The must be a written notice stating the grounds of the claim and any supporting evidence.
